Questions for classroom discussion and assignments:
- Write a short essay on becoming invisible. Where would you go? Would you tell anyone you could become invisible? Would you use the power to help others? After a while, would you get tired of the power?
- The author talks about making up a language of your own. This can be with new words or changes to the rules of grammar. Create a “mini-dictionary” of 10 new words and write a short essay or story using each of those 10 words. Then read the essay to the class. Be sure to explain the meanings of your “new” words before you read the essay.
- Gail Carson Levine says nothing is more private than a book. Write an essay explaining what she means by this statement.
