Questions for classroom discussion and assignments:
- Interview a grandparent or great-grandparent. The class can brainstorm questions to ask a relative. Examples: What was the world like when they were growing up? What was school like? What where their hopes and dreams? What kind of city or town did they live in? What can they remember about their best friend? Write about your answers in a report. If you enjoy this experience, should try it again with another relative.
- Write an essay about “a day in the life” of their grandparent or parent as a child.
